Levi Morgan Clinches 2018 IBO National Championship

Levi MorganFresh on the heels of five straight podium-earning performances, professional shooter Levi Morgan has shot his way to the 2018 International Bowhunting Organization’s National Championship.

In a field deep with top-tier competition, Levi Morgan has consistently maintained his stature as the dominant force on the 3-D circuit this season. As a fierce competitor, it's a known fact in many circles that he hates to lose and is willing to risk it all for a chance to stand atop the podium.

During the third Leg of the IBO National Triple Crown held at Two Mile Run County Park in Franklin, Pennsylvania, July 13-15, Levi Morgan brought it down to his last arrow to clinch the title of National Champion with a score of 412 — winning by just two points.

Levi Morgan: In His Own Words

Levi said the following in an Instagram post after the victory: “I can’t believe it! This weekend was such an emotional rollercoaster for me. Some weekends as a competitor you just don’t have that ‘thing’ that you need to pull ahead. Whatever that thing is, I still don’t know, but whatever it is I didn’t have it when I got here on Friday. Something just felt off, and in this game you don’t win when something is off. Yesterday, I struggled and gave up my 5-point lead for the Triple Crown and came into today’s final round tied for the National Championship. First target of the day I shot an 8 and fell 3 points back right away. I managed to claw my way back little by little knowing that anything could happen. Honestly, the whole time I was just asking God to keep me calm and to help me have a good attitude if I lost. With three targets to go I took a 3-point lead on a swing of events and dead-centered my last arrow to claim the National Championship! So blessed, so thankful, and so happy!”

Career Year

2018 marks Levi Morgan’s seventh IBO National Title in the Men’s Open Pro Division.

“This year has been one of the best of my career so far and to win the IBO National Championship was the highlight to this point,” he said. “As tough as the competition is these days, winning consistently doesn’t seem like a realistic goal. I’m so thankful God has allowed me to do that.”

Levi Morgan“Levi Morgan continues to blow us away with his consistency on the range and his drive as a competitor,” said Teri Quinn, media manager for FeraDyne Outdoors. “His faith in himself, and his equipment prove that nearly anything is possible when everything is in alignment. The team at SURE-LOC and TruFire are excited to see what the final two tournaments of the year will bring.”
