Meet the Team

Having a strong base of over 180 active dealers and a large following of loyal shooters, it was important to Xpedition to seek out a new ownership that would take the company to the next level. New CEO Mark Heck has assembled an outstanding team to accomplish this task.

Mark Heck, CEO of Mark-It Services and now Xpedition, grew up in the woods of southwest Pennsylvania hunting as a small boy. His passion has always been in the outdoors, and combining 46 years hunting with 30 years of building successful businesses that understand the customer and retail landscape will give Xpedition that next evolution as a company and a brand.

“It was important to bring all of the available resources in technology and personnel to not only continue the strong reputation for quality and innovation, but also be sure we could support our dealers and grow our loyal consumer base,” said Heck.

Leading the team is Vice President Chris Cobbett. Cobbett brings with him 16 years in the industry with a strong sales and marketing background helping companies such as Dead Ringer, ARCUS and Outtech grow. “Having the opportunity to grow a company that has such a deep- rooted core belief of purpose-driven products is extremely exciting,” Cobbett said. “Our mission is to expose key dealers across the country to the quality and exceptional performance that this brand is known for.”

Key players in Xpedition’s growth over the years will remain. Blake Davis, National Sales Manager, will continue his role with the company. “Xpedition was at the ideal point in its natural growth to be acquired by an entity that can focus on the outdoor archery markets,” Davis said. “Heck and his team bring a proven track record of building businesses around quality and customer service, making for a seamless transition and consistent presentation of the Xpedition brand. It is very clear they are dedicated to mirroring the quality, assembly and personal attention that has always set Xpedition apart.”

Kevin Strother will remain on as lead designer. “I’m very excited to continue to design and develop bows that are consistent with the quality and high standards of manufacturing that all Xpedition products maintain,” he said.
