Rocky Brands Acquires Muck Boots

Rocky Brands, Inc. recently announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the performance and lifestyle footwear business of Honeywell International, Inc. including The Original Muck Boot Company and Xtratuf footwear brands, for a purchase price of $230 million.

Jason Brooks, president and CEO of Rocky Brands, Inc., said, “With the acquisition of The Original Muck Boot Company along with the Xtratuf, Servus, Neos and Ranger brands, we will greatly enhance our powerful portfolio of footwear brands and significantly increase our sales and profitability. We’re acquiring a well-run business with a corporate culture and a customer base similar to ours, which provides meaningful growth opportunities within our existing categories as well as an entrée into new market segments. Its innovative and authentic product collections complement our existing offering with minimal overlap, which will allow us to strengthen our wholesale relationships and serve a wider consumer audience. At the same time, we plan to leverage Rocky’s advanced fulfillment capabilities to improve distribution of the new brands to wholesale customers and accelerate direct-to-consumer penetration. I am incredibly proud of the success our organization has achieved over the past several years, and I am excited to build on our momentum as we begin this exciting new chapter for the Company.”

Pure Archery Group Hires Todd Wade as Appalachian Territory Manager

Pure Archery Group has hired industry veteran Todd Wade as a territory manager for Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. He will represent all Pure Archery brands while supporting dealers from his home in Northern Virginia. Todd will report directly to Vice President of Sales Jon DuMars.

"We couldn’t be more excited about the addition of Todd to our sales team,” said DuMars. “Todd’s wide range of experience in the archery industry, knowledge, and relationships will only add to our passionate team and further advance Pure Archery Group’s commitment to serving our customers. I’m confident Todd will work extremely hard for his dealers helping them be successful with our brands."

Wade’s career in the outdoor industry began 20 years ago with one of the industry’s leading archery manufacturers. While there he progressed through the ranks of production, sales and ultimately became the organization’s national sales manager. Wade has a proven ability to develop business in the outdoor category. He attributes his success to understanding the industry and building lasting relationships with the retailers, key accounts, and distributors he has worked with over the last decade.

Mountain Archery Fest 2021 Shoots

Mountain Archery Fest kicks off its 2021 3-D archery season featuring the one and only Pope & Young Club 29 North American World Record Course. This course gives archers the chance to shoot at animal targets with proportionally sized world record antlers and horns. With recreated shots delivered at various angles and yardages, it’s sure to give every level of shooter a true-to-life experience. Archers can navigate through one, or all, of the individually designed courses sponsored by Eastman’s, Kryptek and BaseMap.
