Trophy Taker, which was acquired in 2016 by Arcus Hunting, was founded more than 20 years ago by Dan Evans in Montana. Evans, an avid elk bowhunter, understood the hardships and challenges associated with hunting in rugged mountain terrain. Thus, he created arrow rests and other archery solutions with long-lasting quality and backed them all with a lifetime warranty.

“Some of Trophy Taker’s earlier models were the Pronghorn and Shakey HTR,” Arcus Hunting’s Lucas Mashtare said. “Both were buss-cable-driven fall-away arrow rests designed around perfect, consistent arrow flight. Throughout the years, those models set the stage for what Trophy Taker offers today. Latest improvements include full arrow containment, molded silence and dampening features, and even micro-click adjustments for simplified tuning. These are the results of both dealer and consumer feedback, which we value greatly.

“Quality,” Mashtare continued, “is Trophy Taker’s lifeblood. Our team never stops perfecting current products to ensure customer satisfaction. We know that folks invest both time and energy into researching and testing to find products that will accommodate their needs and provide advantages. Whether they’re hunting whitetails from treestands or chasing a podium finish, we believe our products will deliver real results.”

Today, Trophy Taker’s quality and performance have expanded to include more vital accessories for today’s performance archers.

“For 2019, I’m most excited about our all-new Smackdown LockUp arrow rest,” Mashtare noted. “It’s our first-ever lockup rest, and it piggybacks on our proven Smackdown line, but provides a new barrel/lever so the archer’s arrow remains ready. It retails for $129.98 MSRP, and we back it with our lifetime warranty.

“What began in the rugged mountains of Montana is now an attitude shared across the country: Don’t settle for compromises, there is a better way. We believe our customers agree. You can settle, or you can be a Trophy Taker!”
