Mathews 2022 Flagship Bows: V3X 29 and V3X 33

Mathews has announced its 2022 flagship bows — the V3X 29 and V3X 33 — which are part of a complete hunting system including a new sight, quiver and emergency bow kit.

Mathews 2022 Flagship Bows: V3X 29 and V3X 33

Mathews most popular bow to date, its 2021 flagship V3, is the foundation for the company’s 2022 flagship — the V3X — which Mathews says “is the most streamlined hunting system we’ve ever created.”

By “hunting system,” Mathews is referring to three advancements that will be explained in a minute. First, however, let’s look at the bows themselves. Available in 29- or 33-inch axle-to-axle lengths, the V3X deploys a long riser to axle-to-axle ratio to maintain maximum accuracy. The V3X 29 has a 6-inch brace height and accommodates draw lengths from 25.5-30 inches. The V3X 33 has a 6.5-inch brace height with draw lengths ranging from 27-31.5 inches. MSRP for the V3X 29 is $1,199; the V3X 33 is $1,299.

V3X 29 and V3X 33 bows are equipped with new Bridge-Lock Sight Technology to enhance balance, and they're compatible with a completely redesigned line of LowPro Quivers. Finally, a patent-pending Stay Afield System (S.A.S) is offered for 2022 to keep hunters in the field should they face an emergency bow repair.

Bridge-Lock Sight Technology

Allowing a dovetail sight to be mounted through the bow’s riser, Bridge-Lock Sight Technology eliminates the need for an external mounting bracket, for a streamlined profile, improved balance and reduced felt vibration. While most popular sight brands such as Axcel, HHA and Spot Hogg fit the dovetail cutout, Mathews partnered with Axcel to create the BL Fixed 5-pin Sight that allows archers to micro-adjust elevation, windage and each individual .019-inch pin with a high level of precision. The sight allows for simple first, second and third axis adjustments, and features an ultra-high modulus carbon bar designed for an exact fit, minimizing weight and vibration. MSRP Bridge-Lock 5-Pin Sight: $349.99.

LowPro Quivers

Available in a fixed six-arrow or detachable five-arrow configuration, the LowPro Quiver series is engineered around the geometry of the V3X and offers a tighter fit than ever before. When paired with Mathews Genuine QAD Integrate MX Rest and a Bridge-Lock compatible sight, the LowPro Quivers move arrows 56% closer to the riser further enhancing balance and minimizing vibration. MSRP: LowPro Detachable Quiver, $249.99; Fixed Quiver, $199.99.

Stay Afield System (S.A.S)

Specially modified cams paired with the minimalist flo-orange servicing cable allows hunters to safely remove or repair their strings and cables in the field without the use of a bow press. This ultra-lightweight and compact system is an affordable and effective emergency bow kit to keep backcountry archers in the hunt. MSRP: $39.99.
