Team Mathews Kicks Off 2021 3-D Tournament Season With Multiple Victories

For the last six years, the Archery Shooters Association (ASA) has opened its 3-D tournament season in Foley, Alabama. Many of the nation’s top competitors recently traveled to Alabama to take part in the 2021 Hoyt Archery Pro/Am. Team Mathews claimed 6 of 12 podiums at the event across four pro divisions, including three first-place finishes.

  • Levi Morgan — Men’s Open Pro, first place
  • Cara Kelly — Women’s Open Pro, first place
  • Chris Perkins — Men’s Known Pro, first place
  • Dan McCarthy — Men’s Open Pro, second place
  • Richard Owens — Senior Pro, second place
  • Kailey Johnston — Women’s Open Pro, third place

“Our team showed up and performed,” said Mathews Pro Staff Manager Derek Phillips. “Levi and Dan picked up right where they left off last year battling for Shooter of the Year, Perkins made a great comeback to the ASA circuit, and Cara looked stronger than ever out there. We’re excited to see this kind of momentum at the start of our season!”

The ASA tournament tour consists of tournaments across the country. ASA Pro Division competitors shoot two rounds of twenty targets. These targets vary in distance up to 50 yards, and the five highest scores from the first two rounds qualify for the shoot down to decide the winner.
